You have a good suggestion but it only allows at the most 10 options :(
Due to PD movement, to track exact status of how many guys are "already in Que" and how many guys want to "join" the Que, we needs to have two more options e.g. -
- India PD current & I-485 already filed (guys already in Que)
- India PD current & I-485 NOT filed (guys want to Join the Que)
This will help to know how many guys are in que, how many VISA's are available (as per USCIS) and then we will have some "guess" work on how PD will move ahaead in upcoming months!!

Have had unfortunate turn of events and need your guidance.
I had a valid approved h1 petition and i-94 for 2005 through company A.
Company filed for extension of h1 in 2007 and received approved h1 and i-94 valid till 2010. Did not travel out of the country at that time.
Filed for AOS 485, EAD, AP in 2007. Traveled and entered US using AP in 2008.
USCIS did inquiry and has revoked 2005 h1 because of incorrect LCA filing by the company. They have also said that because of incorrect LCA filing, I am in violation of h1 status. Attorneys have advised that USCIS will retroactive hold me as 'out-of-status' but not unlawful present as I was working in good faith based on an approved petition and unexpired i-94s.
The 2007 h1 was also filed in similar fashion as the 2005 h1.
Although USCIS has not revoked current 2007-2010 h1, there is a possibility of that happening. The 485 might be denied in that case.
The only option is to get on h4 by applying from consulate in India.
Since I will be now answering yes to question 38 (have you violated terms of US visa, or unlawful present..?) I have also shown as intent to immigrate based on my 485 filing.
I want to know my chances of getting an h4 approved.

First of all let me congratulate you for planning ahead and preparing for getting green card. It�s always better to know the details ahead. The whole process as it stands now can take several years even for people from Rest-Of-World (for people born in India, China and Mexico its much, much, much worse). In general LC/PERM and I140 can be done in about six months time (give or take a few months which should not bother you much as you will be in early days of H1b). I485 is the step that takes longest and the processing times depend on the job classification. With current laws it can take several years before even you can submit application. But if SKIL bill or something similar is passed in US congress; your whole application process time can come down drastically (well there might still some issues because of load, but at least you can change jobs and still continue the process). Now the question is will that SKIL bill will be passed or not? � it�s beyond anyone�s guess but it is possible if we as a group try harder and do everything that we can. This is once in a long while chance to change our plight. Many analysts/experts feel that contentious issues like immigration will not be taken up near presidential elections which are in �08 so our best chance is next few months. Please spread the word about IV among your friends/peers.
I am directly appealing to you because I have talked to many young friends like you who are in school. Their general attitude is it�s not their problem and that they are far too away from the point to worry about GC. Guess what, I used to think same a few years back and am here stuck in this retrogession. One good thing is now we have an organized effort (thanks to IV core team) and IV team showed us that they know what they are doing and are putting serious effort. Please spread the word about IV and make them members.

You might have already done this but still thought of suggesting: most of universities in US have lots of foreign students in masters and bachelors programs and they have associations like Chinese students association, Indian students association. Can we send them info about IV; specifically explaining them how Greencard/H1B delays can cause issues with their career and explaining how IV is trying to get the SKIL bill passed. That bill is a lot advantageous for people getting degrees in USA and they should be excited to become members. Since these guys/gals are young and energetic their involvement would be really good for us. A group of people can volunteer and collect email addresses of these associations and we can send a general format letter to them. I volunteer to do some work in this effort. Let us know. Thanks.

AFAIK States that do not have state income tax do not let H4 visa holders pay instate and make Green Card as a requirement for instate qualification.
WA state is a good example of the above situation. I don't know about TX,FL,SD,NV,AK,WY which also do not have state income taxes. You might want to look at the instate qualification website for the state you are interested in.

Fine by me if they do offer some SLA. That's always been missing. Thats what I exactly pointed out in my comment. If they were to return my money back if they do not meet their SLA, no one will have issues. or just have PP for almost everything and give equal importance to people who either value time or money.

If USCIS is able to show the Congress that their expenses at the current level are not covered in full by the current fees, new fees will be justified even without improved service quality according to the law. The problem is that the public doesn't know how much of USCIS expenses are going uncovered by the current fees structure. Had they disclosed that piece of information we probably wouldn't have had this discussion in the first place.
The truth is that the intent of the Congress was for the fees to cover USCIS business expenses. If USCIS is able to show the Congress that their expenses at the current level are not covered in full by the current fees, new fees will be justified even without improved service quality according to the law. The problem is that the public doesn't know how much of USCIS expenses are going uncovered by the current fees structure. My PERM was approved in April-07 and now I have just filed the concurrent 140/485. Now the company is transferring me to a new location (State) early next month with a possible change in the salary than what�s mentioned on my PERM. Can anyone please advise if there will be some impact on my 140/485 applications if:
a) I moved to a different state and, (My work location on PERM is California).
b) If I will be getting less salary than what�s mentioned on my PERM

b) You can get lesser salary now. But if USCIS interviews you, you should have an offer letter with salary greater than or equal to PERM salary. In other words, your employer should not pay you lesser than PERM salary once you get the GC. of course, marginal differences may not be a problem.

they dont need tuition waiver. they pay in state anyway. Only drawback is they cant get on campus job and cant get OPT.
Advantage is they can go part time and take less coursework (dont have to take min 9 credit hrs). They can even take a semester off without worrying about status.

I was in the same situation last month. I live in minnesota had 485 receipt from july 2007, EAD for myself but no EAD for wife, so i wished the 485 will do. DMV said the same crap that since 485 has no expiration date, they only accept 485 that is not older than 6 months old (with the wild assumption that any 485 is approved or denied within 6 months). I got infopass appointment with USCIS, got letter that my case is still pending, and they laughed in DMV saying they know my case is still pending, they have some kind of access to USCIS database. After a lot of arguing and going up to managers in DMV, they agreed to give me and wife 6 months driving license and told me you have to find another immigration document next time (meaning apply for EAD for urself and wife)

They are not renewing the DL's based on the pending receipt of I 485 which they claim to be too old and need a new one.. Tried contacting USCIS but could not get through.. If you start using EAD invoking AC21(though there is about 1 year time left on H1) and later find a better job/company that will do H1 then will we have to do H1 transfer or will it be applying for new H1 altogether again?
Will it be possible to transfer or recapture H1 time considering the following two scenarios
